From Good Housekeeping

  • Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn is married to software engineer Christian Richard.

  • Christine and Christian wed in December 2019. Their “gothic winter wonderland-themed wedding” is shown in season 3 of Selling Sunset.

  • Christine’s ring is estimated to be worth as much as $175,000, according to one jewelry expert.

Christine Quinn didn’t tell anyone she was engaged to her now-husband Christian Richard for three months. The L.A.-based realtor from Netflix’s hit show Selling Sunset wanted to make sure he was the one. After all, she’s been engaged three times before.

But the 31-year-old did give fans a subtle sneak peek of the diamond just days after the romantic proposal on Valentine’s Day 2019. Of course, in Christine’s usual fashion, she saved the big reveal for season 2 — and it didn’t disappoint.

“I really didn’t share my engagement because I wanted to wait ‘til I was back in the country,” Christine said on the show after returning from vacation. “I wanted to wait until I could show my ring and talk to people in person. I didn’t want to individually dial 900 people and have a copy-paste conversation.”

As fans may recall, fellow Oppenheim Group realtor and longtime friend Mary Fitzgerald took it to heart when she heard that Davina Potratz learned about the engagement before she did. But the drama was put on hold when Christine walked back into the office and showed off the sparkler.

According to Kathryn Money, the SVP of Merchandising & Retail Expansion at Brilliant Earth, Christine’s ring looks like it’s a marquise-shaped diamond.

Christine’s stunning engagement ring appears to feature an estimated 4.5-5.0 carat marquise-shaped diamond set in a white gold or platinum six-prong setting and a luxe diamond adorned band,” Kathryn tells Good Housekeeping.

As for the cost? “Depending on the quality and specific characteristics of the center gemstone, we estimate the cost of the ring at approximately $125,000 to $175,000.”

At the end of the day, it doesn’t seem like this number makes much difference to Christine, though. After officially tying the knot with the software engineer in December 2019, she told People that the two connected on a deeper level.

“We’re so similar in all the ways that matter. We are both creative, driven, entrepreneurial, and have always lived by our own rules.”

But if you thought Christine couldn’t wear a piece more glamorous than her engagement ring, just wait until you see her black wedding dress in season 3 of Selling Sunset.
