Christina Aguilera Wore a Leopard-Print Latex Bodysuit for a Major Milestone
The diva teamed up with Spotify for a look back at her debut album.
Christina Aguilera knows what a girl wants—and girls want to have a good time while shutting down a party. Aguilera did just that last night, celebrating the release of a special look back at her debut album, Christina Aguilera, in partnership with Spotify. The streamer and Aguilera teamed up for The 25th Anniversary of Christina Aguilera: Spotify Anniversaries Live, which gave the superstar singer a chance to revisit some of her biggest hits and give fans a new take on their favorite tracks.
Aguilera arrived at the West Hollywood soirée with her fiancé, Matthew Rutler, and posed for the flashbulbs while wearing a long-sleeved, leopard-print latex bodysuit and fluffy coat hung off her shoulders. She paired the super-sexy leotard with fishnet tights, a low-slung belt, and black stiletto pumps. Of course, her signature platinum blonde hair was on display and parted down the middle and worn in easy, relaxed waves. She finished her look with a spotlight-stealing diamond choker, matching diamond rings, and a sultry beauty look that included mauvy-beige lips and a rose-gold smoky eye.
The milestone moment gave Aguilera a chance to reflect on her debut, which came after she rose to fame on the Mickey Mouse Club alongside Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and Ryan Gosling. Aguilera teased the release before it dropped on September 23, sharing clips on her Instagram feed that included a bold gold matching set and some surprise cameos.
"I wanted to celebrate the 25th anniversary of my debut album in a way that brings together the past and present," she told Rolling Stone ahead of the new release. "I've always enjoyed reimagining my songs with different styles and audiences, as well as playing with sounds and arrangements that showcase how all music can be timeless."
Aguilera enlisted a few famous friends for new takes on some of her most well-known songs, including Machine Gun Kelly and Sabrina Carpenter, who features on a duet version of "What a Girl Wants."
"I laughed, I cried, I reconnected with old friends, and I made some very special new ones," Aguilera added. "I hope this anniversary gift is just as special for you to watch, as it was for me to make."
The EP also has live recordings of "Reflection," "I Turn to You," and "Obvious," which were all released on her 1999 album. The album earned her two Grammy Award nominations in 2000 for Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. She would go on to win Best New Artist.
