Chrissy Teigen Opens a 17-Year-Expired Pack of Altoids Sours and Finds Gross Surprise Inside

Teigen revealed she'd been gifted a pack of Altoids Sours that expired in 2007 by a fan on her Instagram

Chrissy Teigen is sharing the rather interesting gift she received from a fan!

On Wednesday, July 10, the model and author, 38, shared a video of herself trying a pack of Altoids Sours that expired in 2007 as she revealed the nostalgic candies were her “favorite” sweet treat while she was growing up.

“Okay guys, so a while ago I posted something about how much I missed Altoid Sours. Absolute favorite tangerine all through high school, middle school, loved them so much,” she said in the video. “So sour, so delicious. And at like, I don’t know if it was a meet and greet or if I was just out somewhere and a fan brought me this old package of Altoid Sours.”

Reading the container, Teigen then said she believed the Altoids Sours expired in August 2007.

“I thought it’d be fun to open these up and try one,” she added as she unraveled the packaging.

“I don’t hear any like shaking or anything so that leads me to believe they maybe are a little stuck together,” she said.

After shaking and struggling to open the lid, Teigen then gasped at what was inside.

She then lifted the container to the camera to reveal how the sweets had melted and turned into goo.

“Maybe I won’t be trying them,” she said before falling into laughter. “What happened? Oh no! Worst case scenario I thought they were just maybe all stuck together but that’s not the smell I’m familiar with either.”

Concluding the video, Teigen added, “Alright well, thanks for tuning in!,” as she laughed and put her head down on the table.

“2007 ALTOID SOURS LET’S GOOOOOO,” the mother of four added in her caption, while Summer House star Ciara Miller commented, “The way these had me in chokehold 😭.”
