Chloë Grace Moretz Comes Out As A ‘Gay Woman’ In Post Supporting Kamala Harris
Chloë Grace Moretz has come out as a “gay woman” in a social media post endorsing Kamala Harris ahead of Election Day.
Over the weekend, the 27-year-old actor, announced in an Instagram post that she participated in early voting for Democratic presidential candidate Harris for the 2024 election.
“There is so much on the line this election,” she wrote on Friday alongside a photo of an “I Voted Early” sticker on her jeans. “I believe the government has no right over my body as a woman, and that the decisions over my body should come ONLY from myself and my doctor. Kamala Harris will protect that for us.”
The “Equalizer” star went on to open up about her sexuality, describing herself as a “gay woman.”
“I believe in the need for legal protections that protects the LGBTQ+ community as a gay woman,” she continued. “We need protections in this country and to have access to the care we need and deserve.”
Moretz wrapped up her message by calling on her 24 million-plus followers to vote early.
“Are you voting early? Let’s get a plan together to get to your polling place with your friends!” she added. “Go to IWillVote.com to figure out the best plan for you.”
The “Kick-Ass” actor has been romantically linked to model Kate Harrison since 2018 after the two were spotted kissing at Nobu in Malibu, California.
The pair, who have not publicly addressed their relationship, stirred up engagement rumors after the two were spotted wearing rings on their left ring fingers during a trip to Disneyland in Anaheim, California, together back in April.
In an interview with U.K.’s I newspaper in November 2022, Moretz confirmed that she is in a relationship but did not name who she’s dating.
“I like to keep my private life private,” she told the outlet at the time. “I’m in a long-term relationship. And I really enjoy that.”
Previously, Moretz was also romantically linked to David Beckham’s son, Brooklyn Beckham, before they split in 2016, according to People.
