China's socially distanced graduation ceremony

Class of 2020: A socially-distanced graduation

Location: Beijing, China

Over 3,000 undergraduate students

from Tsinghua University took part

either in-person, or virtually

(SOUNDBITE) (Mandarin) 21-YEAR-OLD ELECTRIC ENGINEERING GRADUATE, CHENG DALI, SAYING:

"I am also very lucky to be able to come back to Tsinghua. Right now there are lots of students who are still stuck at home. So I wish all my fellow students well during this graduation season and hope they can have better and better futures."

But the ceremony isn't the only challenge

these graduates are facing

as they enter a tough job market

(SOUNDBITE) (Mandarin) 28-YEAR-OLD ECONOMIC MANAGEMENT GRADUATE, HUANG JINGLEI, SAYING:"I feel a lot of pressure to get a good job. The economy as a whole is not good right now. The economic data in China has reached its lows and is now recovering. I think that as long as we persevere, things will improve."
