Chile police use tear gas, water cannon against protesters

Police use tear gas and water cannon to disperse protesters as violence again breaks out in the streets of Chile's capital, Santiago. Fueled by outrage at president Sebastian Pinera and the Chilean elite that controls most of the country's wealth, the South American nation has seen since October its worst social unrest since the transition to democracy in 1990. Pinera announced Friday that large public gatherings are no longer allowed.
