Cher and Jimmy Fallon Spoof '80s Cop Series in Hilarious 'Tonight Show' Skit

The pair starred in a fake 'Miami Vice'-like drama in a series of clips

Cher turned back time to the '80s for a skit during an appearance on The Tonight Show.

During an appearance on the late-night talk show on Thursday night, the "Believe" singer, 77, and Jimmy Fallon spoofed an '80s police drama set in Point Pleasant, New Jersey called Point Pleasant Police Department.

In the past, guests like Jake Gyllenhaal and Bill Hader have also appeared in the recurring sketch, which generally features some messy situations where guests spit food on each other while mainly using words that start with the letter "p."

At the beginning of the skit, both Cher and The Tonight Show host who sport oversized mustaches, peaked caps, and oversized bomber jackets — stuff their faces with powdered doughnuts and spit out pieces of their pastries at one another while trying to speak.

Cher initially jabs at Fallon for his lack of punctuality, to which Fallon replies: "I put in a transfer because Lieutenant Palmer promised to put me on probation if I'm not punctual."

The Grammy-winning musician tries to respond but laughs while trying to spit out part of her doughnut. "Don't be pugnacious," she told Fallon.

Panning back to Cher and Fallon sitting on The Tonight Show stage, Fallon notes that the faux '80s show is "more intense than I remember."

"It was very in your face," Cher quips, before they show another clip from Point Pleasant Police Department, where the pair spit pie on one another.

"No, I'm in a pretty pickle," Cher told Fallon to which he responded: "Why?"

"Because, I heard you're pretty passionate, and I'm pregnant. And you're gonna have to take...a paternity test to prove — oh f---," Cher said laughing while her fake mustache is slipping off of her face.

Fallon then breaks character and warns Cher that if she keeps using "that language" the show will get canceled.

"I'm positive I'm not the papa," Fallon declared, to which Cher replied: "Pipe down, Pete!"

Cher then stuffs whipped cream in her face, as Fallon drinks water and spits it into the air. Soon enough, the actress/musician hawks enough water to soak Fallon's entire face.

He then fires back by spitting whipped cream on her face.

Pivoting back to Fallon's desk, the duo sport remnants of whipped cream on their face and hair.

"You could really feel the emotion in that scene, I thought," Fallon said.

In the final clip where "things come to a boil," the pair hold cups of egg nog in front of a holiday-themed table with a gingerbread house.

Fallon shows off his injured pinky finger before spitting some of his eggnog on Cher as his mustache half-detaches and falls onto his lip.

Then, Cher's cap falls off as she spits egg nog on Fallon while trying to say the word "pretty."

Eventually, they move onto blowing powdered sugar at one another, before Fallon concludes the segment by saying: "Merry Christmas, partner! I'm glad we're part of the Point Pleasant Police Department."

Cher released her very first holiday album Christmas in October.

The 13-track collection features collaborations with Stevie Wonder and Cyndi Lauper, covers of classics like Chuck Berry’s “Run Rudolph Run” and original songs like the dance-pop single “DJ Play a Christmas Song."

"I wanted to make a Cher Christmas album," the entertainment legend told PEOPLE, "but I didn't know how to do it. I never could figure out a way. Then this year, I just asked the record company if they would just let me do it — and just hand the finished product over to them —and they were agreeable, so I started picking songs."
