Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has refused to rule out signing another striker this summer amid links to Man Utd star Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portugal international has asked the Red Devils hierarchy to allow him to leave this summer if they receive a ‘satisfactory’ offer for his services.

Ronaldo scored 24 goals in 38 matches in all competitions last campaign but couldn’t help Man Utd finish any higher than sixth in the Premier League.

Is Anthony Martial more suited to Manchester United than Ronaldo?

The Red Devils missed out on the Champions League, ending the season 13 points behind fourth-placed Tottenham and 35 points adrift of champions Man City.

And not being able to play in the Champions League next season is understood to be a big factor behind Ronaldo’s decision to try and leave Man Utd.

Chelsea can offer him that but there have been reports that Tuchel would be against a move for Ronaldo, despite Todd Boehly’s recent meeting with his agent, Jorge Mendes.

But the German didn’t rule out a move for the Man Utd striker when asked on Wednesday. Tuchel said: “I would not rule out signing another striker, but it’s not our priority.

“The priority right now is our defence, it’s not a secret. We lost top players and so now we need to replace them.”

And now CNN Portugal (via the Metro) have claimed that Ronaldo has received a mammoth €250m (£211m) deal over two seasons to sign for an unnamed Saudi Arabian club.

Man Utd paid Juventus £12.9m up front for Ronaldo last summer with the fee potentially rising to £19.5m depending on add-ons and the Saudi Pro League are prepared to pay the Red Devils £25m to get a transfer over the line.

Meanwhile, former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor claimed that Ronaldo “doesn’t care” about Man Utd and that he would be disappointed with the Portugal striker if he was a Red Devils fan.

Agbonlahor said on talkSPORT: “Ronaldo doesn’t want to play in the Europa League. The last few years of his career, he wants to play in the Champions League.

“For me, the biggest disappointment, if I was a Manchester United fan would be: Ronaldo doesn’t care about Manchester United, for me.

“He cares about Ronaldo. He wants to play Champions League, he wants to score more Champions League goals. He wants to win more titles. Manchester United are a million miles away from any of that.

“So he just cares about Ronaldo, he doesn’t care about Manchester United, because they need Ronaldo and he wants to jump ship. He doesn’t want to be there.

“So, for me, very disappointing from him if I was a Manchester United fan and it just shows, it’s the Ronaldo show, not the Man United show.”
