Check Out These Underrated Spring Break Destinations
While many spring breakers flock to popular destinations such as: Miami, Cancun, and Cabo, there are a plethora of underrated spots waiting to be explored. These hidden gems offer unique experiences from surreal landscapes to vibrant local culture, without the overwhelming commercialism of mainstream hotspots.
If you’re a scuba diver, diving the Great Astrolabe Reef in Fiji should be on your list. For the road less traveled by, a retreat to Big Fork, Montana will relax and recharge you. Domestic or international, It’s always a good idea to book a trip, seek a new adventure and step outside of your comfort zone.

1) Fiji
Fiji is a beautiful island nation located in the South Pacific Ocean. It is known for its crystal-clear waters, white sandy beaches, and lush tropical forests. Along with traditions and customs, It’s the people that are the biggest draw – welcoming, friendly and full of jokes. Visiting isn’t just an all inclusive resort but gaining a new perspective on island life.
Where to stay: Kokomo Private Island is located in the Great Astrolabe Reef and is heaven on earth. If you’re looking to dive, the dive team onsite will take you to the reef where if you’re lucky you might just see some mantas! If diving isn’t your scene, enjoy snorkeling, tennis, spa treatments or simply getting lost in a book on the beach.

Tuolumne County is a picturesque region located in the Sierra Nevada foothills of California. It is home to Yosemite National Park, a destination for those seeking to hike, rock climb or simply take the scenic route. Small town culture thrives in Gold Rush towns such as Sonora and Columbia filled with charming shops and restaurants. There’s plenty of local wineries and breweries to enjoy after a day of hiking.

While it’s not right next to the beach, Hollywood, California is home to the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Hollywood Sign and Griffith Observatory. If you’re a film buff, you can take studio tours and you might just run into a celebrity. Universal Studios Hollywood is a fun day trip with the newest addition to the park: Super Nintendo World.
Where to stay: The Hollywood Roosevelt is a historic hotel located in the heart of downtown. With a convenient location, Torrance is located 10 miles south of LAX Airport 17 miles north of Long Beach Airport. A short drive to Santa Monica and also Disneyland, it’s a great stop for any road trip itinerary.
