Charles reading Queen’s Speech may be ‘harbinger of things to come’
Prince Charles will deliver The Queen's Speech at the State Opening of Parliament on Tuesday after the 96-year-old monarch was forced to cancel due to mobility issues. Constitutional expert Professor Robert Hazell says this "may be a harbinger of things to come", and that it is possible Charles will become Prince Regent. The UK's last Prince Regent was George IV between 1811 and 1820.
