Police climbed onto the roof of a bus today (August 31) to remove Extinction Rebellion (XR) protesters who were blocking a road leading to London Bridge. Footage showed chaotic scenes with police trying to force the activists down from the vehicle on Borough High Street. At least eight people were arrested, according to eyewitnesses. XR has been carrying out daily protests as part of a two-week campaign to urge the government to take more action on climate change.
