Celebrity Gogglebox's Rylan Clark-Neal had a rather stressful time trying to explain social distancing bubbles to his mum on tonight's episode (June 26) of the Channel 4 show.

Linda Clark had a spot of difficulty trying to decipher the government's latest batch of coronavirus guidelines.

After watching Prime Minister Boris Johnson announce that the two-metre social distancing gap has now been reduced to one metre plus, Rylan tried to explain to his mum that they can be as close as they like (and even touch each other!) as they're in a bubble together.

"As long as you just do that," said Linda after Rylan tapped her on the knee. "As long as you don't start cuddling me."

"I'm not allowed to cuddle you now?" stropped Rylan, to which Linda replied: "Well I don't think we can."

"You're in my bubble!" a frustrated Rylan hit back. "If you're in a bubble you're allowed to touch each other... Not that we need to."

Also in tonight's episode, Rylan revealed he doesn't eat fish because of a traumatic incident from his childhood.

Expressing his disgust at his mum's craving for a crab sandwich, the presenter shared that he was once pushed onto the fish counter at the supermarket, with his face landing right on top of a terrifying hake.

"Have you seen a hake up close?" Rylan quizzed his mum. "People think my teeth are bad... Jesus."

Celebrity Gogglebox airs on Channel 4.
