All the celebrity babies born in 2020

2019 was a stellar year for baby names, but 2020 has shaped up to be an even better year for novel celebrity spawn monikers. Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden were the first star couple to announce the arrival of their first child at the very start of the year, before Ashley Graham and husband Justin Erwin revealed they had welcomed their little boy later that month. Since then, famous people have been welcoming babies left, right and centre. Check out all the babies born in 2020 so far and all their incredibly cute baby names below...

The Great British Bake Off host's girlfriend and radio presenter Lliana revealed they had expanded their family and now had two daughters, with a novel Instagram post.

"The Bird Fielding family of (spiders) x x (finally figured out what to do with all my old mic covers!) #halloweencrafts," she wrote, alongside some spiders made of pipe cleaners.

When fans asked which spider was who, Lliana wrote back, "Noel is pink, Dali is orange, I’m grey and Iggy is red 💜💜"

Iggy! So cute! Confirming the gender, Lliana added, "Thank you she's a sweet bean x."

Harry Potter star Jessie Cave and boyfriend comedian Alfie Brown welcomed their third child ~named Abraham 'Bam' Benjamin~ on October 21st.

Opening up about the difficult birth, Jessie, who played Lavender Brown in the films, told fans it was "humbling, terrifying and out of my control".

She wrote, "Our baby boy was born in the early hours yesterday morning just 40 mins after my waters were broken. Slightly extreme but so were his kicks throughout the pregnancy! This has been a very different experience to my first two births... much more humbling, terrifying and out of my control."

She went on to praise the "amazing" midwives, doctors and neo natal nurses who helped her during and after the birth.

On October 8th, Mindy Kaling revealed she had welcomed a son named Spencer more than a month earlier, on September 3rd. Appearing on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, she told the host (and the rest of the world) she was now a mum of two after keeping her pregnancy private.

"I got something I rarely get these days, which is good news, so if you wouldn't mind sharing with our audience I think they'd be thrilled to find out something extraordinary that nobody knows up until this moment," host Stephen Colbert shared.

"Yes, I'm telling it for the first time now. It feels so strange," Mindy, who is also mum to daughter Kit, replied. "This is news to a lot of people. It's true! His name is Spencer. I forgot the most important part of it."

Lea and Zandy welcomed their son on 20th August, with a source telling People: "Everyone’s happy and healthy, and they're extremely grateful... He's been an easy baby so far." The source also confirmed that the couple have named their new son Ever Leo.

After photos of Phillipa with a baby bump were obtained by MailOnline in May 2020, actor Jude Law later confirmed he had welcomed his sixth child.

Asked what he had been up to during lockdown on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jude explained that he had been doing a lot of gardening, before casually mentioning: "Oh, and on top of that I had a baby. So there you go."

He continued, "It's really wonderful. Again we feel pretty blessed that we are in a time that we could just nest as a family, and enjoy each other's company and everyday as it came. It was an enforced love-in."

Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger have named their baby daughter Lyla, with the newborn's middle name presumably being a nod to Katherine's mum Maria Shriver.

The couple, who married in June 2019, shared a sweet picture on Instagram showing them holding onto Lyla's tiny hand.

"We couldn’t be happier," the Hollywood actor wrote on Instagram. "Both mom and baby are doing great. We are extremely blessed. Love Katherine and Chris."

Love Island 2016 winners Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey have named the latest addition to the family Delilah.

Speaking about the newborn for the first time, Nathan proudly told New magazine: "She's healthy and beautiful. Cara is an absolute hero and, I tell you what, I take my hat off to all women."

The couple, who wed in June 2019, are also parents to two-year-old Freddie.

Vogue and Spencer welcomed their second child, a baby girl, on July 22nd and have now revealed her adorable name - Gigi Margaux Matthews.

"When we were discussing names I thought, 'I want to want her name', and I do. I just love it. I wish I was called it myself," Vogue told Hello! magazine. "We decided on it ages ago and as soon as we saw her, we knew it suited her. She is so perfect. I am obsessed with her."

The couple are already parents to son Theodore, who they welcomed in September 2018.

Singer Ciara and husband Russell Wilson welcomed their second child together in July. Shortly after his arrival, the pair announced his name, Win Harrison Wilson, on Instagram.

"Happy Birthday WIN!!! Mommy & Daddy Love You," she wrote to her 25.8million followers. "Win Harrison Wilson 7.23.20208lbs 1 oz."

Russell also shared a selfie from the hospital with his wife and their new addition, captioning it: "Happy Birthday WIN!!! Mommy & Daddy Love You!"

Baby Win joins the couple's three-year-old daughter Sienna and Ciara's son Future, six.

Four weeks after welcoming their baby girl, Millie Mackintosh and Hugo Taylor shared the first picture of the newborn, and later revealed they had named her Sienna Grace.

"The first four weeks of your life have been the best four weeks of mine," the new mum wrote. "Thank you for making me a Mummy darling girl 💗."

Former MIC stars Millie and Hugo welcomed their daughter on May 1. "We are delighted to announce the arrival of our darling girl who arrived on Friday 1 May at 1:21pm, weighing a very healthy seven pounds," they told Hello magazine at the time.

"We are eternally grateful to the doctors, nurses and midwives for taking such good care of us. Mum and baby are both doing incredibly well and we are looking forward to bringing our daughter home and spending time together as a family."

Nikki and Artem welcomed their baby boy over the summer. "Our baby boy is here and we couldn’t be HAPPIER and more in LOVE! Everyone is safe and healthy," Nikki announced on August 2.

Singer Grimes and Elon Musk, who welcomed their first child together on May 4th, have revealed they've changed their newborn son's name from X Æ A-12 to X Æ A-Xii.

The musician gave no explanation as to why the name was changed but she did tell one of her Instagram followers: “Roman numerals. Looks better tbh."

Of course, California law only allows names to include letters in the alphabet, which is most likely the reason behind the change.

Previously explaining the meaning behind the moniker, Grimes wrote on Twitter:

• Æ, my elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artificial intelligence)

•A-12 = precursor to SR-17 (our favourite aircraft). No weapons, no defences, just speed. Great in battle, but non-violent

Meanwhile, Elon told the Joe Rogan podcast: "I mean it’s just X, the letter X. And then the Æ is, like, pronounced ‘Ash’… and then A-12. A-12 is my contribution."

It's the first baby for Grimes, who announced her pregnancy in January, while Elon has six children with his ex-wife.

The 41-year-old DJ revealed in a Mother’s Day post on Sunday he had welcomed a son Pace with model Jevon King. Diplo wrote, "Thanks for giving me life and helping me create it – the three strongest mothers in the world.. I’m still a work in progress but u have given three perfect beautiful boys / I love you all til the moon and back [sic]."

The first photo showed Diplo with his mum, while the second photo showed his ex Kathryn Lockhat with his two eldest sons, Lockett, 10, and Lazer, 6, as well as Pace and Jevon.
