If you’re one of the millions of North Americans who suffer from regular foot pain, then you’ll know the importance of finding a comfortably-fitting pair of shoes that can keep up with your busy lifestyle.
Often, ones that are stylish don’t offer the support you need, and shoes that were designed with comfort in mind can sometimes feel more clinical than attractive. In order to solve this dilemma, one footwear company recently launched the first pair of fashion sneakers that were designed specifically for women with foot issues.
Beloved by stars like Dame Helen Mirren and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Sole Bliss is a British shoe company that prides itself on its comfortable and fashionable footwear. The Hero Sneaker is their newest release — and it promises to combine the comfort of an orthotic shoe with more fashion-forward details that shoppers are looking for.

Billed as a “miracle sneaker for bunion sufferers,” the leather sneakers feature an anatomically contoured footbed with luxurious cushioning to soothe painful feet. As with all Sole Bliss shoes, a hidden stretch panel alleviates pressure from difficult joints. Disguised depth accommodates wider feet while still maintaining a flattering silhouette, and a side-zip detail makes it easy to slip these shoes on and off.
“The events of this year have inspired me to design this ultimate ‘multi-tasking’ shoe,” says Sole Bliss Founder, Lisa Kay. “Whether you’re working from home, visiting friends, or doing your daily exercise – it’s cute and comfortable and fits in with every aspect of our new daily routines.”
At $310 CAD (£179), these shoes are certainly on the more expensive side, but they do feature all of the benefits of a pair of custom orthotics wrapped in a stylish package. They’re currently available in three colours, and come in European sizes 36 to 42 (women’s sizes 5-11).
