Cecilia Cheung threatens to sue former manager for new song

4 June - Cecilia Cheung has recently released a statement in response to allegations made by her former agent, Yu Yuk Hing, who suddenly reappeared with a new song about her.

As reported on Oriental Daily, the issue sparked after Yu released a song called, "In the Name of a Dog", which had lyrics full of innuendos and accusations that seemed to be directed towards the actress.

At the same time, he also accepted an interview with Taiwanese media, saying that the "dog" in the song title carries a hidden meaning, when he decided to help a celebrity during her difficult times, and that the said celebrity even showed loyalty similar of a dog.

However, Yu said that the celebrity instead did the opposite after they signed a HKD 40 million contract.

Though he did not name any names, Cecilia's studio had since released a statement regarding the matter, accusing Yu of malicious slander.

The studio also stated that since the content of Yu's songs and personal remarks were all false, Cecilia has the right to take legal action against the other party. Thus, it has entrusted a lawyer to handle the matter fully.
