CBS News Makes New Correspondent Assignments In D.C. Bureau
CBS News has made a series of new assignments for correspondents in its Washington, D.C. bureau, as is typical at the start of a new presidential administration.
Fin Gómez has been named executive director, politics and White House, adding to his duties as CBS News political director. He will oversee daily coverage of the White House team and politics as well as running the political unit, and will report to Mark Lima, Washington bureau chief.

At the White House unit, Olivia Rinaldi will join as producer/reporter and Aaron Navarro will join as digital reporter. They will join the White House team that includes chief White House correspondent Nancy Cordes, political correspondent Ed O’Keefe, senior White House correspondent Weijia Jiang, senior White House reporter Jennifer Jacobs and White House reporter Willie Inman.
On Capitol Hill, Caitlin Huey-Burns will be congressional correspondent and Taurean Small joins as reporter. They join congressional correspondent Nikole Killion.
At the Justice Department, Scott MacFarlane will cover as correspondent and Jake Rosen as producer/reporter.
In addition, Nicole Sganga will be homeland security correspondent, Natalie Brand will cover Washington as a weekday correspondent for CBS News 24/7 as well as CBS Newspath; and Erica Brown will cover Washington as a reporter, contributing to CBS News 24/7 and Newspath.
Other changes: Fernando Suarez will move from the political unit to the White House unit; Alex Hunter will join the D.C. Special Events and White House units as a producer; and Avery Miller will become a senior producer coordinating all editorial coverage out of Washington for CBS News 24/7.
