Catcher Removes Sight-Impaired Snake From Garden

An eastern brown snake that had its sight temporarily impaired by its shedding process used a garden rock feature in Kin Kin, Queensland, to seek refuge.

In footage posted on Facebook, catcher Luke Huntley gradually eases the snake out of the rock feature before removing it to a more natural habitat.

“This snake can barely see at the moment,” Huntley said. “His skin was literally coming off in my hand. The skin over his eye sheds off as well so it makes his vision so bad!”

He added, “He’s not looking his best but after a shed he’ll be stunning.” Credit: Luke Huntley via Storyful
