A used car dealership in Kenosha, Wisconsin, was left with a number of charred cars on its lot on August 24 after it was set ablaze amid unrest springing from an officer-involved shooting on August 23.
The footage shows the remains of vehicles at the dealership Car Source. The cars were set on fire after hundreds of people took to the streets overnight to protest the shooting of local black man Jacob Blake by police.
“I am devastated and saddened to see our strong community falling apart,” she said. “I live about 10 minutes from the protesting area, but I walk downtown about 2-4 times a week. I do not like feeling unsafe in my community.”
