Cars Submerged on Highway Exit After '100-Year Flood' Hits Southeast Pennsylvania

Cars were submerged after heavy rain brought flash flooding to parts of Bensalem, Pennsylvania, on July 12. The National Weather Service reported areas near the Delaware River in Bucks County received significant flooding.

Catherine T Williams recorded this footage and originally posted it to Twitter. Williams posted footage the following day of the same road without any floodwater.

The NWS reported that areas greatly impacted by the event “received 6-10 inches of rain in around 3-4 hours,” and estimated the event to be a “100-year flood.” Credit: Catherine T Williams via Storyful
