Cars Stuck in Floodwaters After Heavy Rainfall Hits San Francisco

A powerful “atmospheric river” moved through Northern California on the morning of October 24, brining heavy rainfall to the region, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

As of Sunday afternoon, the NWS said up to 5.16 inches of rain had fallen over some parts of San Francisco during the previous 24 hours. Flood warnings were issued for the San Francisco area and motorists were warned not to attempt to drive through the floods.
