Cars Pile Up in Streets of Spanish Town in Wake of Flash Flood

Torrential downpours caused flash flooding in parts of southern Spain on September 23, leaving homes inundated and cars submerged, the Diario de Huelva reported

As much as 100 mm of rain accumulated in parts of Huelva province over a 12-hour period into September 23, according to the Andalusian Meteorological Agency.

Local newspapers reported that as much as 60 liters of rain per square meter fell.

The helpline Emergencias 112 Andalucia said it registered over 600 incidents.
