Carole and Michael Middleton made an appearance at London's famous Wimbledon tennis tournament yesterday—but their daughter, Princess Catherine of Wales, was notably absent.

Carole and Michael sat in the royal box in Center Court to take in the tennis. Carole adhered to the tournament's summery dress code, opting for a colorful Cefinn midi dress, which featured puffed sleeves and a ruffled neckline. It's possible that Carole borrowed some style tips from her daughter, who has long been a fan of the London-based brand. Last June, for instance, she sported their green leopard print maxi dress.

Carole also wore a chic white blazer with retro puffed sleeves by ME+EM, colorful orange sunglasses by Izipizi, brown suede heels by Emmy London and an on-trend basket-weave bag.

Although royal fans will undoubtedly be disappointed to see that Kate didn't make it to Wimbledon with her parents yesterday, her absence will not come as a huge surprise. As the royal undergoes cancer treatment, she has stepped back from royal duties. Kate made her first public appearance of 2024 last month at the annual Trooping of the Colour ceremony. However, in an Instagram statement, she reminded fans that her appearances in the coming months would be few and far between. "[I] hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet," she wrote.

Although it seems unlikely that Kate will appear at Wimbledon this year, there is still a chance the royal will appear to present the trophies at the end of the event.

"We're hopeful that the Princess of Wales will be able to present the trophies as the Club's patron, but her health and recovery is the priority," said England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club chair Debbie Jeans to Telegraph Sport on Thursday. "We don't know what we don't know. All we've said is that we'll work with her and give her as much flexibility as possible."

Traditionally, Kate has been an avid supporter of the London tennis tournament, not only presenting the trophies, but also offering up numerous chic tenniscore-inspired looks. Last year, she donned a chic tennis ball green suit dress, a mint green blazer and an emerald green dress by Roland Moret.
