Country music may seem simple, but apparently the lyrics are trickier than they appear, eh Carly Pearce?
Carly recently sat down with Country Living for "Is It Really Country?" The rules of the game are easy: The player has to guess whether or not a set of lyrics are from a country song. But as sweet Carly proves, it's not as easy as it sounds.
You may think you know every word of the hits by icons like Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, and Shania Twain. But then you see "It's so easy to get lost inside a problem that seems so big" and your mind starts to spiral. Is that Carrie Underwood? Ariana Grande? Celine Dion? Ahh!!! (It's Carrie, by the way. Don't worry, Carly missed it too.)
Eventually, even Carly was forced to admit, “I should be fired from country music lyrics forever." It's the effort that counts!

Carly began her singing career at age 16, when she dropped out of high school to pursue a job performing at Dollywood. She went on to be a featured vocalist on the Josh Abbott Band’s 2016 single “Wasn’t That Drunk,” and she later released her first solo album Every Little Thing in 2017. Carly’s debut single of the same name peaked at number one on Billboard’s Country Airplay charts.
