Car Floats Down Street as Storm Ida Floods Paterson, New Jersey

A car was seen floating in floodwater as storm Ida battered Paterson, New Jersey, on September 1. New Jersey Gov Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency in response to the severe weather.

As of Thursday afternoon, at least 12 people were known to have died in the storm in New Jersey, according to local reports.
