A car burst into flames along a highway in Southlake, Texas, as seen in a viral video posted on April 25.
The explosion was captured on camera by Stephen Daniel Patiño, who was traveling in a passenger seat of a car going the opposite direction on Highway 114.
While he initially thought the smoke was due to a grass fire, Patiño said he was in a state of shock once the explosion went off. “It felt like watching something out of an action movie,” he said. “I could feel the heat of the blast, but it was very brief – like walking past a fireplace,” he added.
According to local media, Southlake firefighters responded to the scene and were able to get the flames under control quickly.
