GQ said it, and we were all thinking it. Bernie Sanders' wool mittens stole the show during yesterday's inauguration, and his look inspired a whole wave of Mr. Practicality memes. OK, yes, Michelle looked amazing, Kamala's purple 'fit is #winterwardrobe goals, and Amanda Gorman made us all start searching for a yellow coat ASAP. But still, BERNIE.

Yesterday was a historic day for women. We inaugurated our first woman Vice President. And while we're still on a high from that beautiful moment, it's hard to not talk about Bernie, too. The Twittersphere quickly took note of Bernie's upcycled wool gloves, commenting on the practicality of his outfit as a whole.

It turns out that his now famous gloves have a pretty cool backstory and have many people scrambling to find them on the internet. They come from Jen Ellis, a Vermont teacher who gave them to Bernie on the campaign trail a few years ago. They're made of repurposed wool sweaters and lined with fleece that's made from plastic bottles ... in full Bernie style.

Unfortunately, Ellis isn't selling her mittens right now, which is why we set out to find the best lookalike options for those of you who just need to have a pair of Bernie mittens (us included). We looked for options that were also made from recycled materials, had a wool exterior and a fleece-lined interior, or simply offered the Bernie look. Check out the best wool mittens below.
