Canadian Prime Minister Thanks Ukraine Railway Workers After Kyiv Visit

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau thanked Ukrainian railway workers in footage posted on May 9, a day after his visit to see Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv.

“I really want to take a moment to say thank you to all the railway workers of Ukraine,” he said in a video message posted by the head of Ukrainian Railways, Alexander Kamyshin.

“It has been an extremely difficult time, but you’re there to help people get out, to bring necessary goods and supplies in,” he said.

“You’re stepping up to help keep Ukraine free and strong. Thank you for everything you’re doing. Slava Ukraini,” he added.
