SINGAPORE — Joel Zimmerman, renowned by his stage name Deadmau5 (pronounced 'dead mouse'), is set to enthral the audience at Zouk Singapore this Friday (25 August) from 10pm onwards.

The Canadian electronic music producer has solidified his status as a pioneer within the electronic dance music (EDM) genre. Notably, he became a resident DJ at Zouk Las Vegas last year.

Famous for his progressive house and electronic music, Deadmau5 is known for his distinctive mau5head helmet and iconic Cube stage, which have left an indelible mark on the industry. His electrifying performances have graced prestigious music festivals around the world.

The Grammy-nominated artist has more than 15 million combined fans across social media, and is known for iconic tracks like "Ghosts ‘n’ Stuff", "Strobe" and "I Remember". As one of the most influential figures in the EDM industry, he has released seven albums to date.

Deadmau5 embarked on a successful collaborative project "Kx5" with American DJ Kaskade in March this year. It included the chart-topping single “Escape” featuring Hayla, which secured a #1 on the dance music radio cha and achieved a Top 40 status in the US.

Deadmau5 also notably worked on the song "My Heart Has Teeth" featuring American singer-songwriter Skylar Grey, for the Netflix series, "Resident Evil", last year.

Beyond music, Deadmau5 co-founded the gaming enterprise PIXELYNX and holds an executive role at the HD streaming platform StreamVoodoo.

He told Yahoo Finance in June this year that he views AI as a tool for the music industry, and remains "blissfully agnostic" to the technology.
