Canada labor minister unhappy with talks at Montreal, Vancouver ports

Vancouver port shuts out foremen as strike begins in Vancouver

(Reuters) - Negotiations to resolve labor disputes at the ports of both Montreal and Vancouver are not moving fast enough, Canada's labor minister said on Thursday, urging the parties to quickly reach an agreement.

"Both sets of talks are progressing at an insufficient pace, indicating a concerning absence of urgency from the parties involved," Steven MacKinnon said on X. "The parties must reach an agreement quickly."
