Calm before the chaos: Shakespeare statue fenced in to protect it from foolish fans in Leicester Square

England's notoriously rowdy football fans forced London's authorities to fence in the statue of William Shakespeare in Leicester Square. This time authorities were taking no chances and had the statue boarded-in. It appeared to work, as thousands of England fans gathered in the square on Sunday mostly located themselves in a different part of the square.
