The 'When Calls the Heart’ Spinoff Is Finally Coming to Hallmark Tonight
Season 7 of When Calls the Heart isn't the only thing coming this weekend.

Fans of When Calls the Heart already have more than enough to look forward to this weekend. The popular show will be back for its seventh season on Sunday, February, 23 at 8 p.m. EST, and to say we're excited would be a major understatement.
But now, there's an even bigger reason to mark your calendars. After When Calls the Heart's premiere, you'll get a chance to watch the first episode of the spin-off, When Hope Calls—all without changing the channel.

The sister show was introduced last summer as Hallmark's first-ever streaming series on Hallmark Movies Now, and it previously wasn't available on cable TV. On Sunday, though, that changes: Season 1 will make its debut to a televised audience at 9 p.m., right after When Calls the Heart, and will continue airing a season 1 episode every week.
If you haven't heard of When Hope Calls, you might be wondering what to expect. Is it anything like When Calls the Heart, for starters?
"When Hope Calls embodies the same heartfelt themes of community, family and faith that have resonated so strongly with When Calls the Heart fans over the past six years," Michelle Vicary, an Executive Vice President at Crown Media Family Networks, told Entertainment Tonight when the show's initial premiere date was announced last year. "This is another series that viewers are sure to treasure."

More specifically, it takes place in the early 1900s and tells the story of two sisters, Lillian (Morgan Kohan) and Grace (Jocelyn Hudon). You might remember these siblings from When Calls the Heart’s 2019 Christmas movie! The duo attempts to open an orphanage in a Western town called Brookfield, but their plans are thwarted by the small town's modernization. Meanwhile, just as in Hope Valley, there's plenty of love in the air.
