California High School Remembers Graduate Killed in Kabul Airport Attack

A high school in Norco, California, paid tribute to past pupil Lance Cpl Kareem Nikoui on August 29, after he was killed alongside 12 other United States service members in a suicide bombing at Kabul airport on August 26.

Drone footage by Jack Brown shows people gathered for a memorial walk in Norco on Sunday.

Nikoui graduated from Norco High School in 2019, according to a statement from the school. The school also said his family was “deeply rooted in Norco” and asked people to “keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.”
