California Firefighters Rescue Lost Dog Found Near Apple Fire

Firefighters said they rescued a lost dog that was found near the Apple Fire on August 3. By Monday, the fire had burned thousands of acres in southern California.

This footage shows an Orange County firefighter cradling the dog as he walks it down a steep hill. The Apple Fire can be seen blazing in the background.

The Orange County Professional Firefighters said the crew tended to the dog, giving him water and “a bite of their sandwich.”
