California Firefighters Drive Through Fiery Landscape as Windy Fire Spreads

The Windy Fire in California’s Sequoia National Forest had grown to 49,053 acres and was at 6 percent containment by September 24, officials said.

New evacuation orders were issued for the area on Thursday as dry conditions and above average temperatures were forecast to last through the weekend.
