Caitlyn Jenner reveals why she's closest to Kylie Jenner

From Cosmopolitan

Caitlyn Jenner has a huge family. Like, six biological children and four stepchildren huge, and then there are the 18 grandchildren. But it's no secret the former I Am Cait star hasn't always had the closest relationship with her kids. Her huge fallout with Khloe Kardashian was well-documented on TV and she didn't show up to Brody Jenner's Bali wedding to Kaitlynn Carter. Then there was Brandon Jenner's essay last year which detailed their fractured relationship throughout his childhood.

However, she's now closer to her kids than ever before, but there is one child she does spend more time with compared to the rest - daughter Kylie.

In a new interview, the former I Am Cait star revealed, "Kendall and I have a lot in common. She's very athletic. We kind of both had the same attitude towards life and get along very well, but Kendall's off kind of doing her thing," she explained on the The Skinny Confidential Him & Her podcast. "Kylie, you know, I had dinner last night at Kylie's house."

Caitlyn went on, "Once every two weeks I go over there and she always has these great meals prepared. [It's just] Sophia [Hutchins], Kylie, and myself, and just three of us, nobody around... we talk for an hour and have a glass of wine and talk about stuff and this and that. And so from that standpoint, we're a lot closer."

She said Kendall's always been "a little more secretive", adding, "we're still very close, but it's kind of harder to figure out. Kylie's more of an open book."

Caitlyn has previously opened up about how she wasn't always there for her kids when they were growing up. In her 20/20 interview with Diane Sawyer in 2015, she shared: "The big formative years for them, I was really struggling with these issues. I talked to all the boys about this after the fact, that, yeah, I didn’t do a good job. And I apologised to my kids for that.”

In another interview with Diane in 2017, Caitlyn added, "There’s no excuse for not being a good parent, no matter how many problems you have.”
