'Cabaret' star Eddie Redmayne sang karaoke version to his grandmother in care home
Eddie Redmayne's grandmother might not have been able to get to his hit West End show Cabaret, but the star wasn't about to let her miss out - so he performed a "karaoke" version at her care home.
The Fantastic Beasts star, 39, said that his 99-year-old grandmother couldn't make it to the West End, so he brought the theatre to her instead.

However, his kind gesture didn't work out exactly as planned, as he said that his grandmother nodded off during the performance which even included Redmayne singing co-star Jessie Buckley's lines.
Redmayne told The Graham Norton Show: "She is nearly 100 and not able to come and see the show, so I went to her care home with the karaoke version of the musical and performed the whole thing for her – even Jessie's parts.
"She definitely dropped off – she said she was closing her eyes because she was enjoying it so much!"
He stars as the Emcee in the classic theatre hit, which he says will offer something different to what audiences might be used to seeing from Cabaret and promises will be an "immersive" experience for audiences.
Redmayne told Norton: "It's properly immersive for the audience, you really feel like you are in the Kit Kat Club in Berlin."
Also appearing on The Graham Norton Show was Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse, who joked about her pro dancer sister Oti having won the previous two series of the contest.

She said: "Yes, I planned it all! It is funny that people think I have power of that, but not yet!"
Mabuse said of working with her sister, who is partnering Ugo Monye this year and won the last two series with Bill Bailey and Kelvin Fletcher: "I actually don't look at her, I focus on the celebrity so I don't feel bad, but after the show I might say to her, 'Not bad' or 'Well done!'"
