CAA Signs Culinary Personality Max Miller

EXCLUSIVE: Max Miller, the New York Times bestselling personality known for his hit culinary YouTube show Tasting History with Max Miller, has signed with CAA.

On his show, which premieres new episodes weekly, Miller recreates dishes from the past and explores their history. What began as a passion project during the pandemic has grown into a YouTube channel with 2.5 million subscribers and 300 million views. Fans have rallied around the content, standing up a subreddit for the page and driving it to the top 4% most-followed culinary pages on the platform.

Published in April 2023 by Simon & Schuster, Miller’s first book, Tasting History: Explore the Past Through 4,000 Years of Recipes, has sold over 100,000 copies, quickly becoming a New York Times Best Seller.

His videos, known for their thorough research and high production quality, span thousands of years and all four corners of the globe, even exploring culinary experiences in outer space. Some of his most popular efforts include “Making Medieval Mead like a Viking,” “Dining First Class on the RMS Titanic,” and “Macaroni Cheese from 1845.”

Miller’s work has been covered by America’s Test Kitchen, ABC News, The Rachael Ray Show, The Today Show, and Eater. He continues to be by managed Jeremy Katz of The Katz Company.

Other notable recent signings at CAA include Miley Cyrus, Anatomy of a Fall Oscar winner Justine Triet, Fallout‘s Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan, Tilda Swinton, Vampire Diaries co-creator Julie Plec, comedian and actor J.B. Smoove, two-time Emmy Award nominee Kit Harrington, emerging filmmaker, writer, and producer Margaret Zhang, Emmy and Golden Globe Award nominee Elizabeth Olsen, and Academy Award nominee John C. Reilly, to name just a few.

Last week naming Elizabeth A. Morrison Global Head of Inclusion, Recruiting and Development, the agency also recently promoted 15 to Agent of Executive and welcomed talent agent Ross Raphael to CAA Sports.
