Bushfire 'Explosion' Near Ingleburn Sends Firefighters Running

The Green Wattle Creek fire in the New South Wales areas of Nattai, Oakdale, Werombi and Orangeville, exploded in the early morning hours of December 5, sending firefighters running from the blaze.

Video filmed by the Fire and Rescue NSW 79 Station Ingleburn near Orangeville shows the fire suddenly growing rapidly. The firefighters scatter as the fire grows nearer and embers rush around them.

The Green Wattle Creek fire has burned more than 35,000 hectares, the New South Wales Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS) reported.
