BURSA MALAYSIA ENDS EASIER TRACKING MAJOR GLOBAL EQUITY MARKETS (SCREEN)

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 13 -- Bursa Malaysia ended easier, tracking major global equity markets, despite developments indicating that Tehran and Washington are shying away from a conflict, said MIDF Research.

At the closing bell, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) declined 6.73 points or 0.42 per cent to 1,584.73 compared with last Friday’s close of 1,591.46. 

On the broader market, losers were marginally ahead of losers by 429 to 419, with 407 counters unchanged, 692 untraded and 21 suspended. 

Volume declined to 2.6 billion shares worth RM1.64 billion from 2.74 billion shares worth RM1.59 billion on Friday.
