Buildings Shaken by Strong Quake Off Taiwan

An earthquake of around 6 magnitude struck off the east Taiwan coast on Monday, January 3, the Central Weather Bureau reported.

The news site UDN said the quake caused tall buildings to shake in the capital, Taipei.

The United States Geological Survey said the 6.2-magnitude quake was 64 km east of Hualien City.
