A fisherman spotted a lone buck swimming across Wolf Bay in Orange Beach, Alabama, on Saturday, February 18.

Video taken by Adam Yates shows the deer paddle through deep water several hundred yards away from shore.

Speaking to Storyful, Yates said that his group used their fishing boat to circle the deer and eventually direct the animal back to land before continuing their fishing afternoon. Credit: Adam Yates via Storyful
