BTS' RM donates to the school for the hearing impaired

24 Sep - BTS' rapper RM (formerly known as Rap Monsta) has recently donated a hefty sum of money to help students with hearing impairment.

As reported on Yonhap, the news was confirmed by Seoul Samsung School on 20 September, saying that RM donated KRW 100 million to the school on his birthday so that students with such impairment will be able to enjoy a variety of music with him.

"We are planning to use the donation to maximize our music education and participation of artistic performances for our impaired students," said a rep of the school.

Located in the district of Dongjak, the Seoul Samsung School is a special institution for the hearing impaired under Samsung Social Welfare Corporation, which currently has about 120 students ranging from kindergarten to high school.

RM, whose real name is Kim Nam-joon, celebrated his 25th birthday on 12 September.
