BTS is finally speaking out in support of Black Lives Matter in a new tweet on their account.

The band posted a message, both in Korean and English, with the Black Lives Matter hashtag writing, "We stand against racial discrimination. We condemn violence. You, I and we all have the right to be respected. We will stand together."

Their support comes a day after K-Pop fans were praised for working together to flood racist hashtags on Twitter with fancams to keep any messages not in line with Black Lives Matter from being spread online.

According to Newsis, the band is also making a donation to Black Lives Matter groups. Their entertainment company, BigHit, also released a statement saying (via Google Translate), "We are in the process of making a donation. Since we are still in the process of sending money, we are still unable to reveal the donor and the amount of money."

There's no word on whether or not BTS plans to announce the organizations and amounts later on, but the band has been known to make sizable private donations in the past both as individuals and as a group.

Many fans were excited to see the band speak out, with the trend, "I stan the right group," trending early in the morning on June 4.

Some fans also noted that the bands latest tweet echos a previous speech that leader RM gave at the UN in 2018.
