Jennifer Aniston will forever be our fitness icon, and she reminded us exactly why earlier this week after appearing in some epic workout videos - and her fans were just as obsessed as us.

The videos were created as part of Jennifer's new role as Chief Creative Officer at

collagen powder brand Vital Proteins. In the clips, Jen is seen doing everything from yoga, to meditating, to skipping and running, while drinking collagen in various forms throughout and discussing its benefits.

Fans were amazed at how fabulous Jennifer looks working out at age 51, and TBH we were too. And if an epic montage of Jen's fitness routine wasn't enough, Vital Proteins have only gone and treated us to some behind-the-scenes footage.

As well as showing that Jennifer really did do all the workouts we see her doing in the clips, the BTS video also reveals just how the montages were shot safely during COVID 19.

The crew are all seen wearing masks, with some in visors, and a hand sanitising station can be seen on set. Meanwhile, cleaning staff can also be seen sanitising surfaces and any objects that might have been touched during filming.

The BTS footage also includes more shots of Jen's amazing workouts, showing her doing what looks like a sun salutation in yoga, as well as running at high-speed on a treadmill.

But fitness aside, the clips see Jennifer being her usual goofy self too, having fun with the crew, throwing a thumbs up to the camera and laughing as she spills her collagen drink in her eye. Never change, Jen!

Jennifer also seems to be involved in the video's production, discussing clips with the crew, and she can be heard saying, "so that's the shot", which makes sense given her new role as Chief Creative Officer at the brand.

Speaking about her decision to join Vital Proteins, and her interest in collagen, Jennifer told PEOPLE, "I have had a passion for health and wellness for years. I know this topic can be overwhelming so through this campaign, I want to show simple ways to incorporate collagen into your daily life. For me, it’s adding it to my morning coffee and replenishing after a workout, but there is truly an option for everyone."

In the original workout videos, Jen also discusses the benefits of collagen, saying in her voiceover, "Our strength, our power, our purpose starts within. So let’s start there, with collagen that support our body from the inside out. Because when we feel supported from within, we feel our best. And our confidence to take on the whole world outside comes from way deeper. It’s within us."

As for whether taking collagen supplements is going to make you look like Jennifer Aniston at 51, the jury's out. Many of the research trials that have been done are small or are sponsored by companies that have a vested interest in them doing well, and so further studies are needed. As our colleagues over at NetDoctor explain, a large review study in 2019 showed promising results suggesting that some collagen peptides have the capability to improve elasticity, hydration and wrinkling, but more research is needed to work out what optimal dosing might be, and whether it will work for everyone.
