KUALA LUMPUR, June 1 — Believe it or not, it will be 10 years since the popular South Korean boyband BTS debuted on June 13, 2013.

To celebrate their 10th anniversary, the group will release a new single, Take Two, on June 9.

The digital track is a ‘gift of gratitude and appreciation’ to BTS’ fanbase known as Army, according to a statement from label Big Hit Entertainment.

The title Take Two also hints at the band moving on to a new chapter as a musical group following their decade-long rise to stardom.

BTS has also revealed the calendar for the BTS 10th Anniversary Festa, an annual event celebrating the group’s debut.

The fiesta will run from June 12 to 25, taking place at various major landmarks like the Han River and Seoul Tower with the main event set to take place at the Han River on June 17.

The group will be releasing never before seen content, special releases and solo tracks leading up to the event.

BTS has been on hiatus since June 2022 as all members will be undergoing their mandatory military service and are expected to reunite around 2025.

Jin and J-hope are currently serving in the South Korean Army while RM, Suga and Jimin have been working on their own solo music projects.

Meanwhile, V (Kim Tae-hyung) and Jungkook have become ambassadors for famous luxury brands like Celine and Calvin Klein and are rumoured to solo debut soon.
