BTS have announced that their new album, BE (Deluxe Edition) will be released on 20 November.

The K-pop stars said the new record “imparts a message of healing to the world by declaring, ‘Even in the face of this new normality, our life goes on.’”

The band had previously hinted at new music that they hoped would provide comfort and joy for fans amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“For this album in particular, the septet took a step further and was involved not only in the music making process, but also in the overall production: concept, composition, design, etc,” a statement said.

It added that the record “reflects the thoughts, emotions and deepest ruminations of BTS while working on the album. This new project offers an even richer musical spectrum experience as well as the most ‘BTS-ish’ music yet.”

BE will be available worldwide from midnight EST on 20 November. Physical copies will be released on limited availability.

BTS are taking part in a week-long special of music and comedy on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, beginning this evening (Monday 28 September) and concluding on 2 October.

Their online concert, BTS MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E, takes place on 10 and 11 October.

News of their new album comes after the band smashed the YouTube record for most views in 24 hours, with the video for their latest single, “Dynamite”.

The song marks the band’s first English-language single, as well as their first No 1 single in the UK charts.

According to Spotify, the song sparked a 300 per cent increase in people listening to the band’s music for the first time.
