Brooklyn protest held for Fanta Bility, 8-year-old girl who was killed by Philadelphia police

More than 100 protesters rallied at the Barclay's Center and marched over the Brooklyn Bridge and blocked traffic to demand justice for Fanta Bility, an 8-year-old girl who was shot by police in a Philadelphia suburb last month. After rallying at Barclay's and marching through Brooklyn, the group staged a sit-in on the Brooklyn Bridge. An investigation shows that when responding to a shots fired call, officers opened fire on a vehicle that turned a corner near them injuring three and killing Bility. A recent report stated it was a "near certainty" that the young girl was killed by police bullets. The shooting occurred on August 27. No suspects have been arrested and the names of the officers who fired at the car have not been released prompting an outcry from civil rights leaders.
