Brock Bowers' girlfriend, Cameron Rose Newell, has been cheering on the Las Vegas Raiders tight end long before he was drafted to the NFL.
The couple’s relationship precedes Bowers’ professional football career, which began in 2024. Bowers and Newell are both from Napa Valley, Calif., but went to different colleges following high school. Despite the distance, the two continued to date, and Newell even traveled to Georgia to attend her boyfriend’s college games.
Newell was in the stands when Bowers and his fellow Georgia Bulldogs won the 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship in January. She later wrote on Instagram, “To say I’m proud would be an understatement. You earned it Brock, I’m so happy I got to share this day with you❤️.”
Two years later, Newell was again by Bowers’ side the night he was selected by the Las Vegas Raiders in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. She proudly celebrated her boyfriend’s achievement, writing on Instagram, “You did it🤍 I’m so proud of you @brockbowers GO RAIDERS!”

She and Bowers are both from California
According to the Raiders' website, Bowers was raised in Napa, Calif., which is also home to Newell.
Sharing pictures of herself and her beau at the 2024 BottleRock Napa Valley music festival in May, Newell wrote on Instagram, “No place like home💃.”
They went to prom together
Bowers was a student at Napa High School, while Newell attended Justin-Siena High School, per her LinkedIn. However, despite not attending the same school, the couple went to prom together in 2021.
Newell wore a strapless pink gown for the occasion, and Bowers’ pink boutonniere complemented his prom date’s dress.
“Cleaned up nice 🧼🕺,” he captioned pictures from the special night on Instagram.
She attends the University of Tennessee
After high school, Newell and her boyfriend left California for two different universities. Bowers went on to play college football at the University of Georgia, while Newell continued her studies at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
Per her LinkedIn, Newell is majoring in marketing with a concentration in entrepreneurship. She is also minoring in advertising. At school, Newell is involved in Greek life as a member of Kappa Delta. “There’s no place like @utkkd 💚🤍,” she wrote on Instagram after rush in August 2021.
While in school, the 2025 prospective graduate has also held a number of internship positions, including as a direct-to-consumer hospitality assistant for Jarvis Estate Winery in the summer of 2023 and an ongoing position as a digital marketing and social strategy intern at JIV Athletics, per her LinkedIn.
She supported Bowers' college football career
Although they went to college in different states, Newell traveled more than once to Georgia to support her Bulldog boyfriend, including for an April 2022 game. Alongside a photo of their reunion, she wrote on Instagram, “Back on the field w/ my #19❤️.”
Newell was also on hand when her boyfriend won the 2022 College Football National Championship. Bowers’ girlfriend watched as the Georgia Bulldogs defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide.
She was by Bowers’ side when he was drafted to the NFL
Newell was the first to congratulate Bowers after it was announced at the 2024 NFL Draft that the Las Vegas Raiders had selected him. The couple celebrated with a hug before Bowers embraced his mom, DeAnna Bowers.
In an Instagram post the following day, Newell shared a snapshot of herself and the NFL player sharing a kiss the night he was drafted. “Next stop Vegas!!” she captioned a carousel of photos from the night on Instagram.
She’s repped Bowers’ number with her game day attire
Newell proudly repped her boyfriend at her “first gameday in Vegas” in September 2024, posting a TikTok video compilation of clips from the exciting day. The college student was game day-ready sporting Black Star Boots that featured custom art showing off her boyfriend's last name and jersey number, 89.
Newell also wore a crossbody bag with the name “Bowers” on it to the game at Allegiant Stadium. In a TikTok post showing off her outfit, she wrote, “Wait a moment for the fit. Cuz she ate.”
