British royals surprise paramedic's family in call

During their visit to Newham Ambulance Service, Prince William and his wife Kate spoke with the paramedic's family members in Bangladesh, smiling and waving at them.

The royal couple toured the station and talked with emergency staff about their experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic.

They also discussed with paramedics about how the pandemic has impacted upon their mental health and wellbeing, at a time when the emergency service is facing one of the most challenging periods in its history.
