For Brighton, this is another opportunity to stake a claim for the European spots. The Seagulls are currently seven points behind fifth placed Liverpool but have three games in hand on the Reds. Everton move out of the relegation zone after a counter-attacking masterclass saw them dismantle Brighton on their way to a 5-1 away victory. Dyche's side had only one victory on the road all campaign but found themselves ahead after just 34 seconds when Doucoure swept home Calvert-Lewin's cross. The midfielder added another before Steele's own goal left Brighton 3-0 down at half-time. Brighton continued to press forward after the break but McNeil would add a fourth on the break with a superb solo effort. Mac Allister scored as Brighton finally breached Everton's net after several superb saves from Pickford but the away side weren't done as McNeil added a fifth with a superb left-footed strike in the final minute of added time.

Dyche set his side up perfectly and they have been ruthless on the break against an out-of-sorts Brighton side. De Zerbi will no doubt ring the changes at half-time after that abject first 45 minutes from his side who will need a miracle if they are to get something from this game now.
